The im/possible Futures of Bordet

Urban Species created an installation called "Les im/possibles futurs de Bordet" to ‘probe' the needs and desires of the inhabitants regarding an area that is the subject of a PAD (Master Plan).

This intervention consists of three stations with view-masters that invite passers-by to discover — looking like tourist telescopes — speculative scenarios on the im/possible futures of the Bordet station and its surroundings. The scenarios displayed in the view-masters' slides focus on characteristics currently present in the area, to stimulate imagination and debate on the evolution of the district and invite people to share their needs and desires (on site or via the online form). In addition to these devices, which aim to arouse the interest of passers-by in a playful way, the members of Urban Species are there to initiate conversations with passers-by, to inform them about the PAD and the projects planned in the area, and to collect their testimonies.

This intervention was carried out in the framework of the Bordet PAD, in partnership with Perspective, Latitude and Karbon.
