Air quality in Brussels
Quel est l'air que nous respirons? Comment son invisibilité est réintégrée dans l'espace public?
Air quality first observation.
When we went to the museum of Capitalism, we already took some pictures of it.
You can see clearly the different pietonnier projects on them.
This week is semaine de la mobilité for ville de Bruxelles. In order to show how good the pietonnier is, they decided to put an air monitoring station place de brouckère that display the NO2 at place de brouckère and arts-loi. It is an interesting initiative. However there is no real indication of what quantity is good or bad, what the comparison is about and what are the effets.
There is also a exhibition of the future pietonnier projects all around the station.
The quantity is only visible for a few seconds, before being remplaced by advertisement for the mobility week.
It's hard to really understand what was the intent in this regard. What's more, people already complain about the high level of No2 around the ring. This just prove their point.
Today we could see that a wooden box was still on place de brouckère to promote the plan good-move by Brussels region. Probably put there for the "semaine de la mobilité". The posters have this characteristic design aesthetics full of naive smiles and characters and big bright colors sometime called Bougie Aesthetics.
